General exposure to pollution from everyday products is the main focus of this article. Benzene is a toxic substance that is found in the very thing that our main mode of transport (cars) need; gasoline. It is especially dangerous because it is known to cause leukemia. Even the hot water we use contains a toxic vapor called chloroform. It comes from the chlorine used to treat the water. The list goes on with more toxins that we unknowingly expose ourselves to everyday. Solutions to these problems range from getting better ventilation in bathrooms to switching to an alternative power source. Some, however, are very hard to avoid, like the aforementioned chloroform, because we use water everyday for multiple essential things, like bathing and washing clothes. In order to protect ourselves an the ones we love, we must become more educated about the health risks of the normal things we use. More laws requiring product labels to be more descriptive also need to be put in place for a healthier world.

Reflection
At this point, I'm not even surprised that the appliances and resources we use everyday that we think are safe are not. Everything we do has has some sort of health risk, whether it be minor or major. It is kind of frustrating that some of these pollutants are so had to avoid because they are found/used everywhere. Education is almost always the key to fixing health issues, then it all comes down to execution of necessary changes.
