The Planet is Going to Have its Hottest Year on Record

The main focus of this article is on the rising temperature of Earth. 2015 is set to be the hottest year on record. This comes from our over usage of fossil fuels which led to the greenhouse effect. It has been 100 years since we had a record cold year, and in order for 2015 not to be the record hottest year we would have to go back to the temperature conditions of the 1980's. Right now, it does not look like 2015 will lose the race to hottest year. Scientists believe that the planet will only get hotter as the years progress, unless we find a way to maximize energy/resource efficiency.
ReflectionI found this article to be very truthful in every way. I have noticed that it has been getting hotter and hotter every year, especially in the summer, so it is no surprise that this is the record breaking year. Human activity (burning fossil fuels, emitting greenhouse gases) is definitely the cause of this phenomenon, because as we all know, the greenhouse effect causes global warming. This is the path we are making for ourselves with our long term self-destructive lifestyle with. Needless to say, Earth is still here, so it is not too late to turn things around after all.
